The single most important measure that you can take to save lives and solve our country’s pet overpopulation crisis is to spay or neuter your pet.
This is the fundamental first step toward saving homeless dogs and cats. Our spay/neuter assistance programs helps curb the birth rate and ultimately reduce the Shelter population.
SPAY/NEUTER ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS:
- SHS adopted dogs and cats
- Non-SHS adopted cats
- Spay the Mom Cat program (applicants that surrender litters of kittens to SHS and are in need of having the mother spayed)
People interested in these programs are required to complete an application and must meet established guidelines. For more information or to request an application, please contact our office (712)252-2614 ext. 0.
